I recently did a redesign of dylanbathurst.com. I used photoshop CS3 for all of the graphic use. Working primarily with firefox I noticed a distinct difference in colors when comparing my photoshop file to the actual image in the browser. At first I just chalked it up to color loss when saving the image as a jpg or png file format. (more…)
I know my posts have been pretty stagnant for a while. If you have noticed I finally finished my new theme. I call it Entity. I am currently creating a post all about the theme. My inspiration, thought process, and implementation of those thoughts.

Four days ago I read a story on Valleywag about Google’s “I’m Feeling Lucky” button costing them $110 million a year. I thought this was a very interesting story so I promptly submitted it to digg.com. To my disappointment the story only got 40 diggs. (more…)

It’s Saturday morning, around 7 am. I stayed out at the bars with my friends a little too late into the night. The only thing in this world that I want to do now is sleep in until 11 am. Usually after a long night of drinking I will wake up a little bit early, only to look around then fall back into a deep sleep for a few more hours. Only sometimes there is a little friend just waiting for me to stir before striking. (more…)
I recently was offered a position at University Relations to work on a team of developers for my University’s site. Their current PHP developer is moving to Lawrence, KS and I heard about this through a friend. After submitting an application and having a sit down with the head of the development team, I was offered the job. This would have been perfect, if not for one little problem. I already had a job across campus as webmaster of the VirtualCollege. (more…)
Earlier today I decided to head over to a great little coffee house today and spend some time working on my other blog with a hot latte in their cozy chairs and atmosphere. When I walked in I noticed at band setting up. I figured it would be loud, but I decided to stay and watch anyways. (Could be cool). My two roomates and I decided to greenify ourselves a little by installing our very own garden. It all started with one of my roommates ordering loofah seeds from teh interwebs. After receiving the seeds we decided that just loofahs weren’t good enough, so we went to Wal-Mart and picked up assorted vegetables. Some of the different vegi’s we grabbed were Tomatoes, Zucchinis, and Leaf Lettus. (more…)
